About

Since 1969, Salinas Colts & Broncos Football and Cheer has been a proud part of the Salinas community, building athletes, leaders, and lifelong memories for generations of local families. In 2026, we proudly celebrate 57 years of tradition, teamwork, and hometown pride.

Salinas Colts & Broncos is a nonprofit youth organization serving children ages 4-14 through competitive football and cheer. Our program is about more than just the game. We are here to build confidence, character, discipline, sportsmanship, and a strong sense of community in every athlete who wears our colors.

We are proud members of the Monterey Bay Youth Football League (MBYFL), competing alongside organizations from across the region. Through that affiliation, our athletes and families are part of a long-standing league tradition that brings together youth programs committed to competition, development, and community.

For our families, Salinas Colts & Broncos is more than a team. We are a family, a tradition, and a place where kids can grow, compete, and be part of something bigger than themselves. From first practices to game day at The Pit, our program is built on energy, commitment, and pride in representing Salinas every step of the way.

Our main practice field is Washington Middle School, and our organization proudly serves families within our 2026 boundaries:

  • East border of Highway 101
  • North border of Boronda Road
  • West border of Boronda Road, continuing to Davis Road
  • South border of Hitchcock Road to Hunter Lane to Abbott Road at Highway 101

Everything we do is powered by volunteers. Our board members, football coaches, cheer coaches, team parents, and supporters give countless hours before, during, and after the season to create an experience our athletes can be proud of. Their dedication is what keeps this organization strong and continues the legacy of Salinas Colts & Broncos for the next generation.

The safety and well-being of our athletes always comes first. We are committed to creating a positive, structured, and supportive environment where young people can grow physically, mentally, and socially while learning the value of hard work, respect, and teamwork.

Why families choose Salinas Colts & Broncos:
